Bro. Curtis Swafford has put aside his working tools

I was notified by his Daughter this morning of his passing.

Mr. Curtis Edward Swafford, born on July 24, 1941 in Riceville, Tennessee, passed away at age 77 on September 17, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Calhoun High School and TN Wesleyan College. Curtis served in the Air Force and he also devoted his career to working at Randolph Air Force Base - Civil Service. Curtis is survived by his son, Mark Morga and wife Tara Morga; daughter, Christine Garza and husband Mark Garza; sister, Faye Burger and husband Carey Burger; and grandchildren, AnneMarie Garza, Stephanie Garza, Karina Morga, and Gabriela Morga. Some of Curtis' hobbies were ham radio - w5pke and bowling league. Friends and family can attend the service. The funeral will be at Fort Sam Cemetery on Thursday, October 4th at 11am.

Charles F. “Chuck” Schermerhorn passed on to the celestial lodge above on 26 February 2013, Bro. Schermerhorn joined our lodge in October 2005 from “Army Lodge“ (Gatun Lodge) in Panama. He is a Past Master of that Lodge and has been a Mason for over 37 years.  His funeral arrangements are pending, but he will be buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.  Once a date has been established we will send out another notice. Brother Norm Ess

Brother Norman “Norm” Ess has been moved from BAMC to the Regents Center (Oakwell Farms), Room 210, 8501 Laurens Lane, San Antonio. His cancer is out of control and he is now in Hospice Care.  He will probably never be back in lodge again and he really wants to come back at least one more time.  He is weak and tires easily, but he appreciates every visitor.  So, if your able and take the time…Please go see Norm and stay for 30 minutes or less if you can.  His son, Terry, is in town and will be here for a week or so.
