Julia Perkins update

Bro. Curtis Swafford has put aside his working tools

I was notified by his Daughter this morning of his passing. Mr. Curtis Edward Swafford, born on July 24, 1941 in Riceville, Tennessee, passed away at age 77 on September 17, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Calhoun High School and TN Wesleyan College. Curtis served in the Air Force and he also devoted his career to working at Randolph Air Force Base - Civil Service. Curtis is survived by his son, Mark Morga and wife Tara Morga; daughter, Christine Garza and husband Mark Garza; sister, Faye Burger and husband Carey Burger; and grandchildren, AnneMarie Garza, Stephanie Garza, Karina Morga, and Gabriela Morga. Some of Curtis' hobbies were ham radio - w5pke and bowling league. Friends and family can attend the service. The funeral will be at Fort Sam Cemetery on Thursday, October 4th at 11am.

T.E. Gene Carnes, in car wreck.

Brethren, Received the following message.  ============================= Subject: [San Antonio MWSA 39] PGM T.E. Gene Carnes Accident R;. W:. and W:. Sirs, Honorable Brethren, Ms Haberl and my Brothers, I was just called by Ron Havens after he spoke to PGM Mike Gower for about an hour and was asked to send out a “Heads-up” notice that R:. W:. T. E. Gene Carnes was involved in an horrible automobile accident.  He is at Ft. Sam Houston hospital, SAMMC as I write this email.  The information I have now is this; he has a head laceration that is fairly severe, internal bleeding and has been given 4 units of blood so far and there are other bodily injuries. He is currently (9:20 pm) in their operating room with tubes draining his lungs and they are running tests and scans to find out where and how bad the internal injuries are.  Gaye and Don are there with him. Your District Service Teams are excited to announce our Annual Randall E. Briscoe Workshops for the fall, 2018!
