James A. Dowlearn Jr. went to be with the Lord
on September 22, 2017. He was born on September 4, 1931 in Weesatche, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents James A. Sr. and Martha Dowlearn. James is survived by his wife Peggy Dowlearn; children, Kozette Bonham, Laura Sisk (David), Lori Allen (David), Lisa Story (Don), James A. Dowlearn III (Toni); sister, Evelyn Fowler; brother, Russell Dowlearn; 12 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. James was a proud member of Harlindale Lodge No.1312, Shriner's, Scottish Rite, Eastern Star, Life Member San Antonio Stockshow and Rodeo, Mesquite Trail Riders Association, retired from City Public Service and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 5:00 - 9:00p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral services will continue at the Funeral Home Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11:00a.m. with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South. Funeral Master Bro. Ron Havens.
