An update on Bro. Cecil from Jane.

, Cecil is stable and at home until triple by-pass on July 3 rd .  Procedure will be done at SAMMC.   His blockage is only 50-60%, the first Dr. misquoted, so that was good news.  The blockage is in the Left Main artery, right before where it branches off to the left and right to carry oxygen to th He’s scheduled for all his pre-op next week, we’ll have more details as to time etc. then.  Thank you for getting the word out, we’ve had several calls and that means a lot to both of us.  I’ll keep you updated as we go along; the surgery, & cardiac rehab.  So far we know he’ll be in hospital 4-5 days, then 3-6 weeks outpatient cardiac rehab.  The Dr’s say he should lbe back to 100% by early Fall.  They have selected him to be part of a study on a current cholesterol medication (Plavix) that appears to strengthen cardiac bypass tissue, so that will be interesting.

James Edgar McIntire passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012

MCINTIRE James Edgar McIntire passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012. He was born March 26, 1914 in Frisco, Texas to Fred Edgar and Lucy Frances (Montgomery). He was married to his first wife for 7 years before her death in 1943. He married Glenice Alford in 1945 and they were married for 64 years before her death in 2009. Edgar was a 53 year employee of The L.B. Price Mercantile Company. He was division manager and executive vice president, and upon his retirement was chairman of the board. A longtime resident of San Antonio, Edgar was a member of the Wood-lawn Christian Church since 1952. He was Past Master of Perfect Union Lodge No. 10 and a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason and Past Presiding Officer of the four Scottish Rite bodies. He served on the Albert Pike DeMolay Chapter No. 8 board for ten years, three years of which as Chairman, and served as board member of the Scottish Rite Dormitory for Girls at the University of Texas in Austin for eight years.
